Poor people should "pause before you play"

Teenage girls of the world! The next time you find yourself getting hot and heavy with one of those winner boyfriend-types we keep seeing on 16 And Pregnant, take a moment to reflect on your choices. Or, rather, take a moment to reflect on the choices other people have made in their lives that have determined whether or not you are a rich girl with a supportive family. Ask yourself: am I like totally rich and will my family like totally take care of my baby if I get bored with it?
If the answer is "yes," screw away with abandon! That's the gist of this atrocious, classist PSA Bristol Palin has filmed for the Candies Foundation:
What the PSA doesn't say is that "pause before you play" actually means "don't play at all," as the Candies Foundation is a proponent of abstinence education, which we all know totally works when it comes to preventing teen sex and pregnancy. Gosh, what might be better advice then? "Pause and put a condom on" or "Pause and go get the pill" or "Pause and don't let him stick his raw dick into your vagina" perhaps? Sure. But then the ab-onlies would have to acknowledge that teens have the sex, and then the whole world would collapse.
Further, the PSA actually provides a rationalization for teens to get pregnant: if they think their families are rich and supportive, they can go ahead and have that unprotected baby-makin' sex! I suspect that many teens, purely by virtue of their life inexperience, have little concept of the time and money it takes to raise a child. Seeing this commercial might just inspire them to think, "Oh, well, we have some money, so I would probably be fine if I got pregnant! Bad teen pregnancy is for those other people, the poors!"

I am sorry but that PSA doesn't say if you are rich, screw with abandon. You are totally off base here. All the PSA is saying is simply to THINK before you act. Nothing more. To say there is more to it is intellectually dishonest.

um, a lot of that sounds like "if i didnt have this money, or spotlight, it's really be a bad idea for me to have had unprotected sex at a young age." even if it's not said out right.

"This is why God invented oral sex!"
"Nothing a rusty coat hanger can't fix!
Anyone who listens to the Palin family at this point is too desperate to be trusted with any kind of decision making.
Also, there's this piece of shit.
