Here's a math problem for you.

They are actually dating! It's like when the super-hot cheerleader falls for the introspective emo kid because she got tired of the jocks 'n preps and wanted someone who was, like, deep. Simpson has apparently said she's attracted to Corgan because of his profound spirituality:

Corgan's spirituality may just be what appeals to Simpson. On Sept. 11, Simpson, who has often spoken about how important God is to her and whose father, Joe Simpson, is a former pastor, Tweeted: "My friend, Billy Corgan, has a pure and enlightening outlook on faith."
Okay, more creepy than the fact that Jess 'n Billy are sittin' in a tree, is that Joe and Jess and Billy are sittin' in a tree. Then again, we all know how involved Joe likes to be in his daughters' sexuality.

I brainstormed some pun-tastic gossip-rag headlines I hope to see in the coming days. They're a little heavy on the Pumpkins references, considering I had to actually Google Jessica Simpson to find out the name of one of her songs.

  • "Bullet With Bleached Blond Wings"
  • "Billy to Jess: Wanna Go For A Ride?"
  • "Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sweet Kisses"
  • "Come On Over, Spaceboy"
  • "Jessica To Be Married Before Thirty-Three?"
  • "Billy Gets Hummer From Jess"
  • "Next To Tony, Billy Is Jessica's Silverfuck"

Does that actually ever happen? Or just in movies?

It happens more often than you think. The super-hot cheerleader gets old, gains some weight, and starts to sag in the areas that held all the jocks' interest. The jocks move on to younger cheerleader types and if the old, out of shape, cheerleader types want male attention, they move on too.
