Chicks Aren't Funny: Roseanne thinks Hitler is high-larious

Never one to mince words, Roseanne's recent interview in the latest issue of Heeb magazine features all kinds of "Oh no she di'int!" Roseanne, WTF is up with what you told Heeb about boozing? Via PageSix:
"I HATE alcoholics and AA. If you can't drink responsibly, don't drink at all. Don't go to meetings, whine about your character flaws and blame the fact that you are a sociopath on booze."Having trouble parsing this. If you can't drink responsibly, don't drink ... but don't go to meetings that help you not drink? And all alcoholics are sociopaths? Come on, lady, can't you be funny instead of weird and dismissive?
Still, the AA comment is not nearly as weird/interesting as the outrage over Roseanne's posing as drag-Hitler baking "Jew cookies" in the mag:

Some Heebs--who are, perhaps, not as hip and with-it as Heeb had hoped--didn't find Roseanne's photo very funny at all. Roseanne was, uh, not discouraged, based on the response she posted on her blog over the weekend:

Hitler thought he was being really manly "cleaning Germany up" by burning people in ovens. I was making fun of him, not his victims. My characature [sic] of him very aptly imitates the "man with a godly mission" pose that he struck in all the early photographs taken of him. I portray him being very proud of his burnt cookies, because in his last words, he was proudly congratulating himself for killing so many jews, and encouraged the german people to carry on his mission against the "International Jew."I'm siding with Roseanne on this one, even if this isn't exactly the most amazing example of great Jewish humor I've ever seen. The photo is tacky, silly and controversial ... what else would we expect from Roseanne?
The guy actually thought that killing jews was a good thing! The language that he used is still being used by many world leaders to this day.
He killed my whole family, it is true, but he is also dead,and I,a Jewish woman am still alive to make fun of him, and I will continue to make fun of the little runt for the rest of my life! He, and his ideas need to be laughed at even more these days, picked apart and analyzed up and down, as there are more and more people denying his crimes, and more and more despots trying to copy them.

AA is a total farce. Less than 5% of the people that enter the program last one year. And less than half of those make it 5 years. These numbers come from the one and only time AA tried to audit itself. Over 95% of the people that stop/limit drinking do it the same way 95% of the people stop/limit smoking cigarettes... on their own. Many people (around 17%) are able to return to controlled alcohol consumption with no problems. You don't need some mythical "higher power" or 12 steps designed by a couple of idiots in the 30's. The ONLY reason AA has power is because it is an easy out for our legal system and most mental health professionals are to lazy to actual treat underlining reasons for addiction.
