The Hello Kitty for M.A.C. ad is terrifying us

We are convinced there is some kind of evil, unseen force out there in the Zeitgeist that wants to ruin everything we ever enjoyed as children. Take, for example, this Hello Kitty for M.A.C. ad directed by Floria Sigismondi.

Did that Alice in Wonderland model just follow a black cat into a frilly, pink crinoline tunnel and writhe around inside of it, as if she was reentering a birth canal? Um, yes. Is she then surrounded by a Kitty-masked circle of maybe-villains, who taunt her and then drag her around on the floor while she stares into the camera, unconcerned? Rather. And why is that other feline lady vixen beckoning creepily to Alice while straddling a giant disco ball? Does this have something to do with a new lip-gloss that comes in five fabulous shades? We have absolutely no idea. But we can never look at our old Sanrio day planner the same way again.

That was quite possibly the creepiest thing I have ever seen. I could pass it off as some weird Alice in Wonderland thing until I saw the S&M hello kitty headed men. I am now scarred for life.

wanna know what's more creepy..

in 1999, a young girl was tortured for a month by 3 men who finally killed her, chopped her head off and put it into a hello kitty doll.

Probably MAC is so screwed up, they take that as a "big idea" to launch their Hello Kitty SM men in Hello Kitty heads.
