Orgasms make dollars and sense

YES, YES, YES!"That's what I reckon researchers had in mind when they started studying moneygasms and found that women have more orgasms the richer their partner is. Reports the Times:
I can't offer much anecdotal evidence of my own seeing as how the incomes of the men I tend to date vary from "Has a car, but can't make the payments" to "Amazing apartment, meet my four roommates," but I have a few points to make."Women's orgasm frequency increases with the income of their partner," said Dr Thomas Pollet, the Newcastle University psychologist behind the research. He believes the phenomenon is an "evolutionary adaptation" that is hard-wired into women, driving them to select men on the basis of their perceived quality.
Point the first: rich folks probably have more leisure time to spend on things like screwing everything that moves, and practice makes perfect. Point the second: the study in question was conducted in China, land of commie reds. Would a study done in a capitalist country be different, and how so?
Point the third: what the hell does this quote from a research scientist mean? "What those orgasms are saying is 'I'm extremely loyal, so you should invest in me and my children'." I've never had an orgasm that said anything about loyalty. Or talked at all, for that matter.

Maybe women with wealthy partners are just more likely to lie and/or fake it.

Posted 01/19/2009 at 02:52:53 PMI would imagine that one argument in favor of the study would be that many women are more sexually satisfied with an aggressive partner and those men who are rich are typically in powerful jobs which indicates a higher level of aggression/testosterone etc.
Which isn't to say that I actually believe this study is accurate. I think a woman's own ability to figure out her body probably makes her far more pre-disposed to great orgasms than the amount of money her partner makes would.
