Ads gone bad: pumpkins from behind

PETA isn't exactly known for its tact, but that's the route you often must take when it comes to taking a stand, right? And at least now they've moved from throwing blood on folks to just showing a lot of sexy ladies licking vegetables in their "Vegetarians Have Better Sex" Super Bowl ad spot. For the time being, anyway.

'Veggie Love': PETA's Banned Super Bowl Ad

The ad was rejected by NBC, and while the network's list of complaints is pretty funny (PETA would have to cut "pumpkin from behind between legs," for example) none of it makes an ounce of sense to me. Paris Hilton can molest a burger, GoDaddy.com can wave boobs from hither to thither, but pumpkin lovin' is a no go? What is this, CBS?

NBC had no problem airing 'The Blood', the Seinfeld episode in which George crosses food and sex.

Come on. Honestly. PETA created this ad so it would get banned. They always operate like this. They want to create a "controversy" (if one can call this a controversy) so they'll end up being talked about on cable news and the late night shows. It's stupid.
