The simplistic bullshittery that is the new Heineken closet ad requires little more commentary than this: gag.
Let me make this really clear: I would rather have the beer closet. I am a fashion-forward, hundreds-o-heels-owning woman, and I. Would. Rather. Have. The. Beer. Closet. I'm not saying having a beer vice is any better than a shopping vice; they both can lead folks to ruin. But I'll be damned if I'm not capable of going bankrupt on vintage cowboy boots and booze simultaneously.
Alcohol advertising, beer in particular, is usually some of the funniest and most creative. Why can't we extend this wit and creativity into something that isn't based on dichotomous gender roles? Just once?
