Random wonderful Internet thing: boats made out of giant pumpkins

There's no actual news to report here, but still, I couldn't resist. Over at Urlesque we have a gallery of giant pumpkins that have been scooped out and made into boats. Yes, actual people can get inside them and paddle across a lake -- leaving us to wonder whether they saved the inner pumpkin mess and made enormous baked pumpkin seeds.
Seriously though, this random, wonderful Internet thing combines two of my great loves: Halloween and water. If my own pumpkins were any bigger, and/or if I didn't think I'd promptly drown trying to paddle one across San Francisco's bay, I would totally make a boat, too. Maybe instead I could hollow out a whole bunch of little gourds and wear them like swimmies...
