Hey, stranger, have some free underwear

Yes, it's that time of the year again, the holiday we all look forward to: National Underwear Day.

National Underwear Day, a.k.a. one big, skin-exposing media event put on by Freshpair.com, involves men and women parading in the semi-nude up and down a runway in the middle of Times Square. Down the street from the runway, underwear enthusiasts find a tent where Freshpair.com gives away from undies. Can't find it? Look for the long and hilariously diverse line of people waiting for hours on a hot August day for a cut of fabric worth approximately $3.

I covered last year's National Underwear Day when I was still living in New York -- and by "covered" I mean roamed around like a perv with a press badge and a camera. There were some definite fine cuts of meet hanging out in briefs (like I said, perv), plus a few girls with the tiny bits of pudge that made me less likely to hate them and their beige, seam-free Hanes.

This year's PR stunt, ahem National Underwear Day, took place yesterday. Anyone attend? Anyone get free undies?
