OMG You Made That? Little Yellow Riding Hood

The crafty people who display their creations at Etsy always amaze me. OK, sometimes I'm less amazed and more like, "Um, I could have made those in five minutes with a color printer and a button machine," but for the most part I'm impressed. Probably because, instead of just sitting around and wishing they were doing creative things like me, these people are actually out there doing them -- and then earning some itsy-bitsy amount of money for the love and time they've invested.

Take this adorable, hand-stitched kawaii pin for example. Point No. 1: it's just so frickin' cute! Point No. 2: ok, it's still really cute. It's like she's Little Yellow Riding Hood off on her way to grandma's house during which time she may or may not get eaten by wild animals -- but in the form of a pin! The same Etsy seller makes lots of unbearably cute things. I'd consider buying something, but my head might explode from seeing the cuteness in person.

For that, maam, I say OMG.
